Team Liquid is famous for every year making the most creative Roster announcements, generating a lot of expectation among its fan base for what they have prepared for the next season. This year the creative team decided to draw on medieval illustrations and invited me to help create the 2025 Roster announcement together with their team and two illustrators.
Like everything else in the online gaming world, the pace was fast and there wasn't much time for errors, create concepts, approve and produce.
Thanks to a very talented team, we were able to understand the style the Team Liquid creatives and Alienware expected,
create the storyboard and illustrations in a way that could be animated quickly and focusing only on the essential elements.
To be honest i had never heard of Valorant and i had no idea how big these online teams have become!
These boys are real celebrities in the gaming world.
After two months and due to the good repercussion of the roster with the fan base on social media,
we made a second video with the announcement of the newcomers.

One thing that motivated me in this project was the weird medieval reference. We had to research and study the elements well
and pick out only the best details.
Another thing I like about good projects is when people accept their organic transformation. A lot of things didn't work, mostly because the style was too bland for a very long script with a lot of information. So everything evolved and ended up creating a face of its own. Team Liquid creatives working together and liking all the “happy accidents” accepting the mix of the medieval and the illustrator’s styles and my animation/storyboard guidance.
I had a lot of fun with this project. Good vibe from start to finish!
